Wait for me,
for love and be
pure when you say
your vows I pray.
Wait ‘till we’ve pledged
our hearts and lives;
and look me in the eyes
and say, I waited for you.
Will you wait to share your life with me?
To sail through life’s
ever-changing sea?
Through the storms
we’ll pray
and at rainbows we’ll smile.
And when we’re old
and have lived a full life
we'll look at each other and say,
I waited for you, to share this with you.
