That comes and goes
It can’t be gotten

But rather it comes
In the form of a gift
A gift from God
To accept or deny.
It isn’t something
That can always be felt
Indeed, sometimes it seems
That it’s disappeared forever.
But no matter what
It’s still there
In the depths of your heart
Where it will always stay.
Though sometimes it’s buried
Beneath stress and confusion
Know that it waits,
To bring peace again.
Even when you feel
That all hope is lost
It’s a tiny spark in your heart
That fills and keeps you warm forever.
