What is Christmas? I'm not talking about the fact that Jesus Christ came to earth to be my Savior and yours-although that is certainly important and I don't want you to miss that-but the Spirit of Christmas that accompanies every Christmas. I know that the magic Christmas held when you were a child isn't the same as it is today but you can't deny that it's still there. So the question remains, what is The Magic of Christmas?
Christmas is magic
not the kind where
you pull a rabbit out of a hat
or pull a scarf from your hand.
It’s when you hold your breath
in awe of what’s happening,
when you’re surrounded by
friends, family and pure love.
The laughter is oftenthe tears aren’t from pain
and no matter how hard you try,
you can’t help but smile.
All because of a Savior
who left his throne for man kind;
grew up in poverty
and died to ensure
my eternity with Him.
And every Christmas eve
I can’t help but believe
that He sprinkles the earth
with a special magic called
Hope.
