Do you know what it’s like

To want to die,

To bleed until

The life runs out?

Do you know?

I know.

Have you felt such pain

That you can’t even cry,

To breathe is poison

You hear whispers of doubt.

Do you know?

I know.

Are you ever so overwhelmed

As life passes by

That you barely know

Whether to continue on or just stop?

Do you know?

I know.

Do you know what it’s like

To feel such peace in your heart,

To rest assured

In Christ’s love and power?

Do you know?

I know.

Have you felt the peace

In your spirit impart

And give your life meaning,

To rest in God’s strong tower?

To wonder if my life

Is worth anything

To wonder if anyone cares.

Do you know?

But I know that God

Isn’t done with me yet

He’s given me a purpose

He’s my Comforter and Friend.
