All this is
Is just a wish
That everything will turn out okay.
My heart won’t be broken
The perfect choice will be made,
No one will get hurt.
But isn’t that
Just a fairytale?
A silly dream in my mind?
Or could it be true
That me and you
Are “meant to be”?
Is it selfish to ask
For a chance to be happy?
To wonder if I could be loved?
Or would it be better
To step back and surrender
My own happiness for that of another?
